1991 — The Beginning

In 1991, November Fire was formed in New England by friends Terry Aubie on vocals, Dave Hubai on guitar and Matt Credit on bass. Their early sound was shaped by a love of metal, 70s heavy rock and hardcore bands like Black Flag and Suicidal Tendencies. Terry would soon take over on bass, with drummer Jay Beltz joining soon after.

The band worked hard refining their sound to one that relied on heavy riffs, loose, dynamic jams and emotional vocals.

1992–2004 — The Active Years

November Fire would welcome three additional guitarists during this time: Greg Brosseau (1992–1993), Jeff Brisson (1993–1998) and Derek Aubie (2002–2004). The band stayed active until 2004, recording three demos and writing and performing over 40 original songs at gigs around the Boston area.

2022–Present — The Return

After some sporadic reunions, Terry and Dave started playing regularly again in late 2022, writing a new batch of songs — this time with Jim Kelley joining in on drums. This culminated in their first fully-realized album, Through A Mournful Song, released in October 2024.

With the six-song, 40-minute album, November Fire looks to continue sharing its vision of heavy music.
