In a universe like our own, there exists a delicate balance of light and dark, life and death, the corporeal and the spirit universe.
There, all life is sparked by soul energy. When flesh thrives, the soul inhabits the corporeal world. When flesh dies, the soul travels to the mirror galaxy where it endures, until it is once more born into the living world.
Black holes bridge these realities like passageways, known as the Targineon Gates. Among them stands a supermassive nexus known as The Great Defile — the foundational connection binding both these realities together.
The living world remains unaware of this cycle. The mirror world, the undead universe, does not. Since the dawn of time, those souls inhabiting the mirror universe have fulfilled their purpose, embracing their transformation as destiny.
But dissent has been growing.
A faction known as the Myovanar has emerged, dissatisfied with their role in the cycle. They seek to retain their individuality and memories, to defy rebirth itself. Their ambition is absolute: to shatter the cycle, merge the realities, and end all life in this universe.
To achieve this, the Myovanar have begun influencing agents within the living world. These agents have forged a vast political and military power known as the Quairai, now spreading relentlessly across the cosmos. The Quairai sow discord, divide nations, and recruit followers with promises of wealth and power.
Through destruction or subjugation, the Myovanar pursue a single end: the annihilation of the Great Defile — and with it, the end of all organic life.
